Float Mounted Water-Colour

This was an unusual custom framing project. We are used to framing art & this frame is a composite frame (using two different frames) with a float mounted picture. Generally this would be framed as a water-colour but because of the deckled edge of the paper the customer wanted to see the rough edges.
Like most frames this style draws the eye in. It highlights the painting particularly well, giving it more perspective. This is quite a modern framing method and is very fashionable. Glass was a must because it is a water-colour.

This particular frame is 12“x10” and cost €60. These frames can go up to 36“x24”.
